The Ranch for Boys enrolls 50 teenage boys at our residential boarding school located on 30 acres in working ranches and orchards. Over the program, we focus on character, integrity, hard work, and respect. We create a culture of positive peer pressure. We give boys ownership in work projects and special events on campus to keep them engaged in what is their home away from home. We desire to see residents grow in their faith in Christ, and we provide worship, chapel services, bible studies, discipleship, retreats and mission trip opportunities toward that end. Residents also challenge and support each other in their faith. Would any of that happen in a military school or boot camp? That’s unlikely.

The culmination of the program is a spectacular wilderness experience in the mountains of North Carolina during the last month of the boys’ residency. Whitewater rafting, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, camping, and other adventures illustrate that life can be both adventuresome and positive.
While we conduct individual, group, and family counseling in traditional settings, we know that most life-changing conversations tend to take place during outdoor activities and during ordinary situations. Counseling is offered frequently during the day, in all settings, through conversations with mentors during chores or activities. We put great importance on mentorship, providing the boys with positive male role models during their residence with us.
