The Ranch for Boys serves 50 boys ages 13 to 18 at our residential boarding school on a 30-acre parcel in ranch and orchard country. Over our program, we work to develop character, integrity, hard work, and respect. We create a culture of positive peer pressure. We give boys responsibility for work projects and chapel services on campus to keep them engaged in what is their home away from home. We desire to see teens mature in their faith in Christ, and we provide worship, chapel services, bible studies, discipleship, retreats and mission trip opportunities to support that growth. Boys also stretch and encourage each other in their faith. Would any of that happen in a military school or boot camp? That’s unlikely.

The culmination of the program is a spectacular wilderness experience in the mountains of North Carolina during the last month of the boys’ time at the ranch. Whitewater rafting, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, camping, and other adventures prove that life can be both adventuresome and positive.
While we conduct individual, group, and family counseling in traditional settings, we find that most life-changing experiences tend to occur during outdoor activities and in the course of daily life.
